Lan ETS and WCG Canada partner up for 2013 28 February 2013

The two major gaming events in Canada, Lan ETS and WCG Canada, team up, once again, to bring you an incredibly fun and competitive experience at Ecole de Technologies Superieure.

We are proud to announce that all the attendees will have a chance to qualify for WCG Canada’s 2013 National Final before anyone else. Even though the WCG official titles aren’t announced yet, the top 3 Canadian players / teams for the games that WCG Canada will ultimately retain, will have their spot for the National Final later this year.

WCG Canada’s execs will be on site this week-end to spot some talent, support Lan ETS in its event and do some promotional work!

If you’re a gamer, you should be there, no matter if you have a BYOC ticket or not!

Technical difficulties: Update on the situation 23 January 2013

As you may have noticed last Friday while proceeding with the sale of 275 additional tickets we experienced some technical difficulties. Now that the situation is under control here is a brief explanation of what happened and what the consequences are.

First, we received lots, lots! of traffic. The website was very slow and to remedy the situation we made setup a load balancing of the website and database. However, due to a misconfiguration, the replication of the database failed. The results were that the data was not the same everywhere, tickets purchased were not saved properly, it was impossible to control the sale of tickets and so on.

In the end we sold a lot more tickets than expected. In fact, the demand was so strong that we sold more tickets than seats !

Despite this error, rest assured that no transaction has been lost and all tickets purchased were given. It goes not without saying that some transactions had to be refunded because we simply could not accept them due to limited seating.

Another consequence is that now we can not help teams who lack one ticket to complete their team. We just have no more tickets. You have robbed us!

We apologize about this situation, we thank you for your patience and we are trying to find a solution to have more space.

We will manage those transactions manually in the next 72 hours. If you bought a ticket and it doesn't appear in your account on our website, please send us an email at contact@lanets.ca with your Paypal confirmation number.

The floor plan will be available this Monday January 14th at 6:00PM EST. If you are the owner of a BYOC ticket, you will be able to choose your seat.

We will be releasing 275 additional BYOC tickets for Lan ETS 2013. Those tickets will be available on Friday January 18th at 6:00pm EST.

The 600 first tickets already sold out 27 December 2012

Only 2 weeks went by and the 600 BYOC tickets we put on sale are gone.

Congratulation to those of you who bought their ticket. In January you will be able to choose your seat on the floor plan.

For those who don't have their ticket yet, stay calm. We will put some more tickets for sale a few days after the floor plan is open. You can still buy "Console" and "Guest" tickets
